~Colorful Stamp Tutorial - Donna Salazar~

Hi Friends!! Mandy here!! I'm back to show you a little tutorial on how to do a multi colored stamp.  I used this technique on this layout I did of one of my daughters. Below the tutorial are close ups and a list of products I used for this layout.
You Will Need:
1) Several Colors Inx or Chox Inx (I used Sage, Pomegranate, Petals, Butternut)
2) Stamp Flowers
I began at the bottom and colored my stems with Sage Chox.
Next I used Pomegranate Chox and colored the lower part of the flowers.
Next I used the Butternut Chox moving up the flowers.
Then Finally I used Petals Chox to do the tips of my flowers.
 Final Stamped Image.

~February Scraps of Darkness Kit~

I thought I would share a few more items I created using the February Scraps of Darkness kit before I reveal my layouts for the March kit.  So here they are!!  We have had some rainy, dark weather so my pics didn't turn out as well as normal.  :(

This first layout is of my new grandbaby!!   Its a bit simple, but I wanted more focus on the photo.

For the edge effect that I did, I used a brick wall stamp and lightly coated it with Gesso.  Then went along the edges.

~Layout and Chippie Tutorial - Donna Salazar~

Hi Friends!! It's Mandy, and I am going to show you an easy way to add some more details to your chipboard pieces.  This will work with any chipboard.  I used this technique on a layout I did of my daughter.  The altered chippie is the one in the top left corner.
For this you will need the following:

1) Chippie of your choice
2) Inx of your choice
3) Craft Knife

First I colored my whole chippie with Sage Chox Inx.
Next I just did the edges using Driftwood Chox Inx.
Now for this you can draw the lines where you want to cut if it makes it easier.  I do that depending on what I am cutting.  However, for this piece I just free handed my cut.
*** Important***
Don't press hard, just press hard enough to cut through the top thin layer of the chippie.
Now use your knife to lift up that layer enough to where you can just pull it off with your fingers.  If you find there is a spot that doesn't want to come up, just use your knife to go over that area again.  Just a small amount of pressure will be fine.
This is the end result.  I have done this in the past where I colored in the area I removed with a pen, however, this time I just left it natural.
Some close ups of my layout.
These pieces of wood are from the bits and pieces that drop off onto the floor by our wood stove.
