~Scraps of Darkness - The Black Album Kit~

I wanted to post a couple more layouts I did using the Scraps of Darkness September kit called "The Black Album".  The next kit will debut on the 15th and it's SOD's biggest kit of the year, so you won't want to miss out on that one.  I will be posting the kit pic and sketch on my blog that day, so you can come back and check it out!!

This first layout is of myself in a pic I took when I was bored sitting in our car lol.

This next one is a pic I took of my youngest daughter, sitting in the shampoo chair at my hair dressers. If she isn't in this chair, she's sitting under the hair dryer or raising one of the cutting chairs up and down.

Thanks for stopping by and God Bless!!

~More Items from the September Scraps of Darkness Kit~

I'm back with a couple more items from the September "Black Album" kit by Scraps of Darkness!  This first one is of my niece who will turn 18 in November this year and she is a senior in high school.  The photo is from her senior shoot that I did for her.
I only took a couple close ups, since this was just an 8x10.

This next one is of my 16 year old.  She took these pics on her cell phone and I then took pics of them with my cell phone lol.  Sort of turned out pretty cool I think.

Well that's it for today! I am planning on a couple more from this kit sometime before the 15th of October, so keep checking back!!

Thanks for stopping by and God Bless!!

~Umbrella Cirlce Tutorial & Layout - Donna Salazar Designs~

Hi Everybody!! I'm back with a little easy "how to" on what I call an umbrella circle for backgrounds or little flowers.  In this layout below I used it for both.

First start with a circle of any size, depending on what you want to use it for...  Thinner paper is easier to work with when it comes time to trim the ends.
 Fold in Half!
 Fold in Half Again!
Fold in Half One More Time so You Have a Wedge!
Now cut the short end or bottom of the triangle in a slight circular fashion.  You can use a rounded edge to draw a line to follow.
Now open up your umbrella and make all the folds so they face up!! Just refold all the edges in half!
Then you can go along all the folds and edges with ink.
For the little flowers.....  Just start with a 2" circle, 1.5" circle, and then a 1" circle and layer them up.  I flopped my umbrellas over so the edges pop up and I used a little cheese cloth in between my layers and added some beads for my centers.

Thanks for stopping!! Below you will find a list of products that I used!!
