~Webster's Pages & Dusty Attic~

Dusty Attic and Webster's Pages got together to show off how lovely their products go together by doing a product swap, so I got to play with some yummy Webster's and some new chippies from Dusty!!  How fun is that?!  This is the first of two layouts that I did using both products and I will be posting another one on the 1st!

This is a photo of my daughter I took last year.  She was memorized by the Christmas tree and it was such a magical moment for her.  You can really see the true Spirit of Christmas in child.
For this I used papers, fabric ribbon, and dazzle me gems from the Botanical Christmas collection.  The Dusty chippies I used were the Christmas Tree #2, Cameo Ribbon Slides, and Typewrite Font Alphabet Set.
For the tree I first sprayed it lightly with water and then took my little cutterbee knife and sliced upwords to create the texture.  Then I inked it green and added some drops of silver liquid pearls and red rhinestones.
I had fun with these cameo sliders by giving them a different spin.  I just inked them and used some of the Websters fabric ribbon and dazzle me gems.

~Dusty Attic and The Color Room #84~

Dusty Attic if sponsoring The Color Room this month and we are on our second palette this week!!  It's a great one too, with very pretty neutrals.  Here is my take on palette #84.  I used a pic of myself and I call this The Pose because it's my best side and I tend to try to do a side shot like this if my pic is taken.

It's so dark and gloomy here in Oregon as usual, so my pics are not as true to color as I would like.

This is the lovely Dusty Attic chippie I used for this page.  This is the Scroll #6 DA0578 and I coated it with  Smooch Spritz and went over with gesso and chalk inks for highlights.
The tag reads, "Rylee took this picture of me during the Summer of 2011."
Thanks for stopping by and God Bless!!

~Scraps of Darkness November Kit Reveal~

"Well she's walking through the clouds
With a circus mind that's running round
Butterflies and zebras
And moonbeams and fairy tales
That's all she ever thinks about.....
Riding with the wind"
                               ~Jimi Hendrix

This month we are getting down and groovy with the November Scraps of Darkness kit called Purple Haze!!  This is another absolutely gorgeous kit filled with so many beautiful papers and embellies!!  I am also the current Pandora's Box artist which means I did a tutorial on a full layout I put together which you can see below.  Let's get started!!  Here's the kit pic!!
This first one is my take on the Charlotte's sketch! The photo is of my daughter, Rylee, smiling, which doesn't happen all that often in pics :)

Clusters of embellies are one tip I give out a lot!!  They always look nicer in packs :)  The background is layered with cheesecloth that I spritzed with some pale green mist.

I used two of my pins which are included in the Romance Add On!
These letters are painted with Gesso and detailed with Stickles.
This next page is my Pandora's Box layout.  The photo is of my youngest daughter.  Here is the video if you want to check it out.  I apologize for some of the extra boring parts lol.
After the video I did add a few extras to finish it off.  I figured the most important part was the foundation along with the main embellies :)

My next page is of myself that was taken this summer.  I used a few Dusty Attic chippies to add to this one.
These little birds nests by Prima are so cute, but a little chunky, so I cut the entire bottom off of mine.  It sat on my page so much nicer after that.

These are the Sweet Pea Border Strips that I coated with Gesso and Distress Ink.

The last one for today is of my daughter, Tyler.  I added the Dusty Attic Garden Frame on this one.
I used my EK Success Dahlia Flower Punch again.  The hearts are Prima and beautiful!!
For the chippie I coated it all with Concord Grape Distress Ink and then painted some mint colored acrylic paint onto the inside area.  I then wiped it down with a paper towel and used some Purple Chalk Ink to blend it out towards the outer edge.

These little Dusty nameplates are so cute.  I used some of my kit paper along with one of the Bo Bunny rubs to make my title.

~Urban Lily and Dusty Attic~

I created this card for a friend of mine I haven't spoken to for quite some time.  I wanted to let her know I was thinking about her and missed her!  For this card I used items from Urban Lily and I included the famous chicken wire chippie from Dusty Attic!! I still have 5 or 6 of these 12x12 chippies in my Etsy if you want to get your hands on them!  My Etsy!!
Thanks for stopping by and God Bless!!

~Dusty Attic and TCR #83~

This month Dusty Attic is sponsoring The Color Room and I encourage you all to play along!!  I had such a blast being a Revolving Door Artist for TCR and was super excited to go back to play along during the sponsorship!!  Here is my page along with this week's color palette.  Sorry I posted it late, but you still have a day or so to jump in on this palette!!

The pic is of my youngest daughter wearing my Fat Baby boots.  This photo was taken of her during the summer on our porch.  I used the Garden Frame Set DA0606 by Dusty Attic.

I used Gesso to create a cloud look throughout my page and the hot air balloon is a rub on that I had.
I also used Gesso on the frame and then misted parts with Tattered Angels chalk mist.  After it dried I applied a bit of Stickles.

I have using cheese cloth a lot more on my pages and had to place a tiny bit on this one too.
Thanks for stopping by and God Bless!!

~Scraps of Darkness October Kit~

I'm finishing up my October kit from Scraps of Darkness and I thought I would show off my sweet new little kitty, named Tobey.  He was abandoned out by our house and we were able to catch him and took him in.  He is probably only about 10-11 weeks old and I am planning on taking him to the vet to get him checked out to make sure he is healthy.  What bothers me, is how someone could just dump this sweet little guy out in the country to fend for himself.  We found him on Halloween, so we named him Tobey, short for October.  I went with a simple little layout.

Thanks for stopping by and God Bless!
