~Scraps of Darkness + DT Call = SO COOL~

Scraps of Darkness and Scraps of Elegance are looking for new DT members!!  Look to the bottom of this post for more details on where to go to try out!!  In the meantime I wanted to show another page I did using the Scraps of Darkness Needful Things kit!!

This picture was taken and edited by my daughter, Tyler.  When it printed out it had those funny lines and a big ink blob on her mouth, so I played with it a little and stuck a butterfly on her mouth.  Got the idea from The Silence of the Lambs movie cover.  So anyways, I created a mixed media page with it.  TFL!!
I misted the majority of the page with the sprays in the Color Add On.  I did leave a few of the elements alone though.

To get this type of edge, I sprayed the rings and then used my craft knife to scrape along the wet edges.

Now for the DT call!!! Head on over to Scraps of Darkness or Scraps of Elegance for more details on how to apply!! Just click the link above!!  If you haven't noticed these kits are on fire and growing fast!! This is an excellent opportunity to get your name out there as well!!  Plus you get to be a member of an AWESOME team ;)

Thanks for stopping by and God Bless!!

~Dusty Attic Blooms~

Dusty Attic just introduced a new line of products that are so beautiful!! They just announced Dusty in Bloom flowers!! Below is a layout that I created using the new blooms and the newest Dusty Attic Dress Form #3!!  The papers and other embellies came from the latest Scraps of Elegance kit, including the beautiful butterflies created by Renea Harrison.  The baby in the photo belongs to a friend of mine.  I took this photo on a day I was watching her.
I went with a package of the Bridal Veil blooms and added some of the smaller Evening Blush blooms as well.  They are so pretty!!
For the dress form, I did a shabby chic treatment using Gesso and blue chalk ink.  More details on how I dressed it below.
One of the title words from the Dusty Attic Words #2 and I left it bare.

For the banner I did some hand stitching with floss along the top and then used my craft knife to cut the sides of the banner so it lifted.
For the clothing on my dress form, I used heavy pink cardstock for the underneath layer, pink felt for the second layer and then white tulle that I cinched up at the waist and decorated with mini rhinestones.
Thanks for stopping by and God Bless!!

~Scraps of Darkness March Reveal~

It's time to reveal the Scraps of Darkness March kit called Needful Things!!  This month is such a fun kit featuring papers from Graphic 45 Olde Curiosity Shoppe and SEI Field Notes!!  Plus lots of amazing embellies and add on kits as well!!

This first layout is based on the beautiful sketch by Suepup!!  This layout features a photo of my oldest daughter, Raine.  I didn't take this photo, but it sure is a gorgeous shot of her.  I usually don't do traditional birthday layouts, but every year I like to do one based on their age, so this one is Raine's :)

These Graphic 45 papers come with some awesome sheets of cut outs, stickers, and chipboard.  This makes it so easy to layer and embellish!! I love G45!!

This next layout is of my youngest daughter, Brooklyn.  I dressed her up a bit old fashioned and this is another shot from that shoot.

This one was a sad one for me.  This was our baby girl Tracker, our little beagle.  She was such a sweet heart and I always enjoyed her company.  Last year she was ran over accidentally and passed away.  It was such a sad day for us and we will miss her so much.

~Layout Using Donna Salazar Products~

Hi all, it's Mandy!!  I have been having a total blast working with Donna's products and I wanted to share this layout with you today.  The photo is a pic of myself that I distressed after the fact by using water on a q-tip and a craft knife to go around the edge.  The photo editing made my hair SUPER blonde lol.
I grabbed these little words straight out of The Crafty Chronicle and after I glued them down I outlined then with a white gel pen.  I did the same for the title as well.

Some quick stitching here.
I love the Shadow Flowers and they worked so well with these cut outs from the Spring in Bloom collection.
This little tab is my one little piece from the Antiquities collection.
Thanks for stopping by and have an awesome day!!

~Dusty Attic Layout~

It's time to show off some more Dusty Attic!!  For this layout I used the Sunflower Vine Small 2 pk and one of the older word chippies from the Words #2 set.

This page has a photo of my daughter, Rylee, that I took of her last fall.
For this chippie, I coated it in Gesso and then added some inks and glitter.  After it dried I used a black gel pen to draw along the vines.

Some more cheesecloth..  I love this stuff!!

Thanks for stopping by and God Bless!!

~Scraps of Darkness Late Reveal~

Hi All!! Scraps of Darkness is pushing back our March reveal for the 24th this month, so I wanted to be sure and let you all know that I don't have any March layouts to show you quite yet :(  However, I do have one more layout from the February kit that I will share with you today.

This layout features a photo of my dd, Tyler, that she took of herself and also edited it herself.  This is such a cool pic and I had to scrap it!!

I used the Dusty Attic Skeleton Clock Faces to create this mask over the stamped images.
These chippie letters are Dusty Attic Typewriter Font set.
Do you ever have stuff laying around that was supposed to go on another layout, but it didn't get on there for whatever reason.  Well this TH grungeboard hinge had the end chopped off and I wasn't going to use the rest, but I saw it laying there, so I threw it on my layout lol.  No waste :D
Thanks for stopping by and God Bless!!
