~Scraps of Darkness February Kit~

This month I've been so busy that I wasn't able to create a full reveal, but I am still playing with the current Scraps of Darkness kit and here is one more page from the February Victoriana kit.

This is my daughter Tyler and my other daughter, Rylee, actually took this photo of her.  I loved it, so I decided to scrap it.  I had a lot of fun with this layout.
TIP:  Ok if you ever get a package in the mail that has these crimped up pieces of paper then KEEP SOME!!  For reals..  check out how cute they look in the floral bunch!!

TIP:  If your scrappy space is super cold, do not use liquid pearls LOL!!  They never rounded and ended up drying like little nipples.  :(
Both the Skeleton Clock Face and the Large Gear (Cog) are Dusty Attic chippies!!
Thanks for stopping by and God Bless!!

~Dusty Attic Card~

Some of these new chippies from Dusty Attic are so darling!! There are a lot of mini's that are coming available soon and us lucky DT girls get to play with them in the mean time!!  I decided to make a card with a couple of these cute little chippies!!
I decided to leave the chippies bare.  For the corner I used a mini chandelier.  So pretty!!
Another close up that I messed up and forgot to show the mini key that goes with it.  Super cute!!
Thanks for stopping by and God Bless!!

~Scraps of Darkness February Kit Reveal~

It's that time again!! It's reveal day for Scraps of Darkness!! This month SOD  is showcasing the beautiful February kit called Victoriana!!  This kit features the beautiful Prima's Printery papers as well as papers from Kaisercraft.  Don't miss out!!

This first layout is based on the sketch for the month, by Charlotte aka Suepup.  The photo is of my daughter, Tyler, during last summer.  She wanted to dye her hair red for fun, so we did a wash out and it really was a good look for her and her green eyes!!
 Here's the sketch!!
The cheesecloth was from my own stash, but I did use the mists from the color add on to color it up a bit.
These flowers are Dusty Attic chippies that I curled up and painted with Lumiere paints.

This is a scroll from Dusty Attic as well that I treated with Shimmerz paint and some of the black flock, also from the color add on.

These Prima canvases are fun to work with.  They really come to life when you add color to them.

This is a layout of my daughter, Rylee.  I love how she looks like an ancient Roman Princess in this shot.  However the background is an old arena in our barn lol.  Not quite the Coliseum ;)
There are so many gorgeous Prima flowers in this kit along with the add ons!! I love me some Prima!!
This is a close up of my pin for this months Romance add on!!
I added this little charm from my stash of beads and charms.
One of my favorite new products is this Fun Flock by Stampendous!! I wrote my word in pencil, then went over it with a glue pen, then used this awesome flock and wallah!!  Such a fun product!!

Here is a shot of the main kit!!  This is a gorgeous kit and I love the vintage color tones!!
Thanks for stopping by and God Bless!!

~Scraps of Darkness Escape Kit Cards~

I don't make cards very often and it's been a while, so I decided to make a couple of cards from the Scraps of Darkness January Escape kit.  This has been another fun and versatile kit, which SOD is well known for and I have enjoyed every bit of it!!  So here are a couple of cards I have been working on.
Tip:  A little trail of Stickles along the border is super easy and can take the place of stitching when you are in a hurry.

Tip:  Distress metal using alcohol ink and a knife tool.  Drop a couple drops of the ink and dry, then scrap it with your knife here and there.
This is a little card I made for any occasion.  I used the softer colors in the kit for this one.
Tip:  Punch a section of your border and then use a chain punch to back it for easy layering.

~Scraps of Elegance Reveal and Blog Hop ~

I am a bit sad I am not able to participate in the Scraps of Elegance 1st Official blog hop, but I did want to be sure and make the announcement here, so no one misses out!! It's just that I am going to be super tied up and won't be around to update for a couple weeks!!  Because of my that I won't officially be DTing for Scraps of Elegance until the April kit reveal, but I still wanted to show off a bit of Scraps of Darkness' sister kit, so I created a layout based on the sketch using the SOE kit!!  This kit is GORGEOUS!!!   Plus scroll down to the bottom for the blog hop list and details on where to start!!

For this layout I used some of the newer chippies from Dusty Attic!!  The photo is a pic I took of my daughter, Rylee.  I threw in the larger flowers and letters from my own stash as well, but the rest are items from the main Scraps of Elegance kit!!
Here is the Sketch by the amazing Charlotte aka Suepup!

Here is a close up of the new Dusty Fountains, not yet available for purchase yet.  These come in a three piece set with one large and two smaller fountains.  For mine I just did a quick misting with a golden tone mist and used some Jasmine colored chalk ink by Donna Salazar for highlights.
I did do hand stitching all the way around, but as you can see I made the stitches a half inch so it went faster.  I scrap as fast as possible lol!!
I wish the camera picked up the sparkly accents in these letters, because they are so pretty!!
A bit of cut work for the leaves layered upon with both kit ad personal stash flowers!!

Another chippie by Dusty Attic that I just painted white and sanded a little.   This is a piece of the Corner Flourish #2.  I actually used the larger portion on another layout I did previously.  Always keep those extra pieces of chippies!!
The 1st official Scraps of Elegance kit!!
