~Dusty Attic Birds on a Wire Chippie~

I'm back to show a bit of Dusty Attic!! This layout features the Birds on a Wire chippie!! The photo is of my daughter and a younger friend of hers. 

 I just did a very simple treatment to the chippie.  I used black ink for the wire and colored in the birds with a marker and added a bit of sparkle to them.

~Scraps of Darkness - Pandora's Box~

Every month a Scraps of Darkness or Scraps of Elegance designer puts together a video showing how they put together a layout or project.  This month is my turn.  I decided to create a layout that is quick to make, but still looks fully loaded. 

 

This layout features my husband working in his shop.  This was a few years ago when he still chewed, so I threw the Copenhagen top on here as well.  Below you will be able to see the picture video of how I put this all together.

Hi Friends!! Back again to show you a layout with a quick and easy tutorial to fancy up your edges.  So funny little story....  I am a home school mom and recently had to learn how to use Power Point to help my daughter make a presentation.  Well I had fun with it and decided to use it for my tutorial as well.  Hope you like it!!

Here is another layout using the Scraps of Darkness kit called My Guy!! This month's kit is geared towards masculinity, however, I always manage to girlify layouts as much as possible.  I do love the grunginess of this kit though!! Very fun and messy :D

~Scraps of Darkness Sept Kit Sketch Layout~

I'm finally getting to work on my Scraps of Darkness September kit called My Guy!! I wanted to post my 1st layout that I did based on the sketch by Charlotte aka Suepup.  My previous post has the sketch posted if you would like to take a look at it.  This layout has a couple photos of my daughter. I haven't had a lot of time to take new pics, so I rely on their facebook accounts and steal their photos :)

 Yup I burned it :)  Over the sink though.  Don't ever burn something at your scrappy space lol.

 I used one of Donna Salazar's stamps for this chicken wire.  I coated the stamp with Gesso using a sponge, so it didn't go on too thick.

 The Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays in the color add on are fabulous!! Love these metallic colors!!

~Dusty Attic Layout - Asian Theme~

Hi again!! I am back to show you a layout I created using some of the new chippies from Dusty Attic.  Dusty came out with some really pretty Asian themed chippies that I was excited to use.  I also used items from Scraps of Elegance kit club as well.  The picture is a photo I got off the web and not one I have taken.  The chippies I used on this layout are Bamboo #4 DA0718 and Garden Lanterns DA0715.

 Some Close Ups!

 For the lanterns I wanted to create a marble look, so hopefully they look that way :D

 I split the ends of the leaves to add more dimension to the page.

~Dusty Attic September ATC~

This month's Dusty Attic ATC challenge theme is steampunk!! This is my FAVE theme so far!! I love steampunk!!  For those of ou who don't know about this challenge, you are welcome to join us anytime over at the Dusty Attic Ning site!! 

For this ATC I used the mini cogs, regular cogs, wings, and the corset chippies!! The back set of wings are embossed while the front set is painted with gesso and shredded so the wings raise a bit.  The background is molding paste over corrugated cardboard.  The corset is inked and the mini cogs are all coated with embossing powder.  For the larger gears (cogs), I used orange and brown mist with drops of gold Stickles and gold alcohol ink.

I created this layout using the Scraps of Darkness "My Guy" kit from September.  The photo is of my husband in his big Chevy mud truck.  He was playing out in our field a few years back.

 I used some spray on glue to adhere down the moss.
